I’m Allen Chen, CEO and founder of KillBigCompany. It’s hard to believe, but our independent site has been around for almost a whole week now (yes, that’s a bit of humor). This project, however, has been in the making for much longer. It started with a vision that I’m excited to finally share with all of you.

 

Why create a platform like this? Because I believe that China is home to countless hidden gems—brands and products that are remarkable, crafted with quality, and designed with heart. These treasures deserve to be seen, experienced, and appreciated by people all over the world. I want to help break through the outdated stereotypes that confine Chinese products to a narrow image of “mass production” and showcase the beauty and innovation of Chinese design.

 

And why call it “KillBigCompany”? Because I believe no industry should be monopolized by giants. In any field, when a few big players dominate, growth and creativity suffer. Monopolies stifle innovation, creating a stagnant space with fewer fresh ideas and voices. On the other hand, it’s the small companies—the ones that are still hungry and striving—that have the courage to push boundaries and bring something truly new to the world. Small businesses embody resilience, and a relentless drive to innovate and succeed. After all, “company” also means “companion”, I invite you to interpret that idea as you will.
